- In his Valedictory Lecture Series, Dr. Frederickson claims that the practices of modern public administration are far ahead of the development of theories that explain those practices. He therefore reopens and reconsiders core concepts and categories in public administration, including the growing importance of the public in public administration, the declining importance of government in public administration, and the urgent need to reconceptualize organization and management in public ad-ministration. This is the second of four lectures in the series and is open to the public.
