Global Food for Thought Lecture: Leaders in Conflict and Peace Process
- What:
- Global Food for Thought is a lunchtime lecture series presented by the Center for Global & International Studies. What is the role of leaders in changing political contexts? How do they fulfill these roles in different conflicts? In the lecture, I will address these questions, while presenting a theory regarding the psycho-social roles of leaders and the way they rhetorically fulfill them in two crucial contexts: intractable conflict and its resolution process. Comparative findings will be presented from the Israeli-Palestinian and Northern-Irish conflicts. A light lunch of Israeli food will be served.
