Enjoy an evening of silent film comedy shorts on Friday, November 16 at the MCC-Longview Cultural Arts Center. The doors to MCC-Longview’s second annual “Silents Night” open at 6 p.m., with a 1920s costume contest at 6:15. Prizes will be awarded to those dressed in the best “Roaring 20s” attire. The films begin at 7 p.m., with guest organist Dr. Marvin Faulwell accompanying some of the top comedians of the silent film era: Charlie Chaplin, Laurel & Hardy, and more. Admission is free, but donations are welcome to support future cultural events. For more information, call 816.604.2030.
