- Dr. John Younger Professor: Classics, and Director of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies John Younger is a field archaeologist who digs primarily in Greece, but at one point his career took an unexpected turn and he wound up excavating a Jewish-Christian catacomb in southern Italy and an early synagogue (3rd-6th c. CE) in the Galilee that produced a remarkable piece of sculpture that was transported to Jerusalem in a high-speed, midnight jeep-chase. Light refreshments will be served. Approved for GAP Credit.
