- Jesus Christ taught us saying "God is a spirit, and they that worship him MUST worship him in spirit and in TRUTH" (John 4:24) Satan the Devil is known as the "Deceiver" for a reason and he has done exactly what God has said he would accomplish. He deceived the whole earth (Rev. 12:9). One of his greatest tricks was false worship. The introduction of idol worship.. the "gods" of EVERY false doctrine and religion. In essence, in ignorance, you are worshiping him!
