- The Nutcracker ballet returns to NCM Fathom Events this holiday season and for the first time ever will be shown in RealD 3D in select locations. In collaboration with More2Screen and EuroArts Music, Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker will be broadcast to movie theaters nationwide! Kansas City times and locations are as follows: Monday, December 3 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. * AMC Barrywoods * AMC Town Center * Cinemark Merriam * Cinemark Palace on the Plaza * Regal Stadium 18 The Russian Imperial Mariinsky Theatre was the original home to Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker in 1892, when it made its worldwide debut.
