CELEBRATE THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS WITH CONGREGATION KOL AMI AT A COMMUNITY CHANUKAH AND SHABBAT SERVICE
- What:
- Congregation Kol Ami, Kansas City's urban Jewish community, will hold a special Chanukah Shabbat service on Friday evening, December 14th, 6:45 PM, at its new home at All Souls Unitarian Church on the Country Club Plaza. Rabbi Doug Alpert will lead the service, which celebrates the miracle of light. Tradition states that the glow of a Chanukah candle is meant for no other purpose than to be enjoyed. Everyone is encouraged to bring a menorah and candles, and part of the service will take place by candlelight. Chanukah sweets will be served immediately following the service. There is no charge to attend.
