Jazz into the New Year

- Join us January 31st @ Indian Hills Country Club as we Jazz in the New Year. This will be a great time to celebrate 2012 and look forward to 2013. All of the profits from this event will be given to the Mothers Refuge homeless shelter for women. You can learn more about them at the link below. www.mothersrefuge.orgThe mission of the Mothers Refuge is to shelter and educate homeless, pregnant and parenting young women by providing comprehensive services that empower them to make successful life decisions for themselves and their babies. • Most of our residents come from the Greater Kansas City area. • The young moms may stay until their baby is one- year old. • Residents must continue their education while in our program. They attend either high school, community college or take GED classes. • We provide a loving home, clothing, food, access to medical care, education, infant and parenting classes and practical life-skills. • Residents attend church on Sundays. They may attend the faith of their choice or go with our group. • All residents learn household responsibilities and take turns planning, preparing and cooking the evening meals and cleaning the home.We have sonsorships available - you can purchase sponsorships with a Credit Card here or email Susan Mulvaney @ treasurer@mokanwireless.org to arrange to send a check.
