What:
Altrusa International of Greater Kansas City, MO will be presenting the first ever Kansas City Crossword Puzzle Tournament as a benefit for Higher M-Pact. This event takes place on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at UMKC Flarsheim Hall, Room 310, 5110 Rockhill Road, Kansas City, MO. This will be a fun-filled event using unpublished crossword puzzles provided by Will Shortz, editor of the New York Times Crossword Puzzle. Competition kicks off at 11:45 am and ends at 3:30 pm. Four puzzles will be featured growing progressively more challenging until the grand finale where top three scorers battle to take title as Kansas City's Crossword Puzzle Champion. There are various levels of participation as individuals or as a team with discounts for advance registration. Inquiries are directed to kccrossword@yahoo.com . Parking is available in the multilevel UMKC parking garage to the south of Flarsheim Hall (at the southwest corner of 52nd and Rockhill).
