- Launch KC, the hub for entrepreneurial activity and business development, and Mayor Sly James are welcoming Lewis And Clark Information Exchange (LACIE) to Kansas City on January 22, 2013 3pm at the KCI Ambassador Building. LACIE is one of the first fully operational, multiple-state Health Information Exchanges in the country to provide patient information to prominent healthcare systems and providers in the Midwest. Heartland Health, who has been the sole owner of LACIE and invested $2 million dollars in the development and implementation of the exchange is gifting the Health Information Organization (HIO) to the greater Kansas City Community. The Greater Kansas City LACIE Collaborative will be governed by a Board comprised of healthcare leaders from the Greater Kansas City Area, as well as a patient advocate and large business representative.LACIE allows your provider to focus on validating medical history shared through the exchange which in turn allows them more time to spend with you. Providers connected to LACIE will now be able to access lab results, radiology information, medication history, allergies, immunizations, reports and other information from participating organizations in an aggregated view. Pertinent healthcare information will be accessible in the matter of seconds allowing your provider to giving you the best care possible.Join Mayor Sly James, LACIE current and future LACIE participants, Economic Development Corporation, Launch KC, Bizjournal, Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce, Cerner, and many more to welcome LACIE as they enhance the way care is provided. The LACIE signing ceremony and open house will be held on January 22, 2013 3pm at the KCI Ambassador Building 12200 NW Ambassador Drive, Kansas City, MO 64157.
