home Exhibition Opening: 'Rhythm and Meaning: Jazz at KU'

The KU Libraries is hosting a collaborative exhibition this semester entitled "Rhythm and Meaning: Jazz at KU." This exhibition will feature the jazz materials donated to the KU Jazz Archive by Film and Media Studies professor, Chuck Berg. The exhibition will highlight recent KU faculty scholarship related to jazz; will showcase the work of current KU student jazz musicians and will feature images from the following area jazz collections: the American Jazz Museum, the Mid America Black Archive, LaBudde Special Collections at UMKC, the Spencer Museum of Art and the Spencer Research Library. The exhibition will run February 15 through April 19. The opening reception will start with cocktails and feature music by the KU Jazz Ensemble, as well as a presentation by Film and Media Studies professor Chuck Berg.
