- The Northland Coalition, a group of volunteers from Clay, Platte and Ray counties, invites the community to the “Make Good Things Happen” Prevention Conference Feb. 22 at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 1600 N. 291st Hwy, Liberty, Mo. 64068. The Northland Coalition, which works to create safe, substance-abuse free communities with support from Tri-County Mental Health Services, Inc., will host the half-day event. It will begin with an Appreciation Breakfast at 8:00 a.m., which will recognize the generosity of community coalitions’ volunteers and donors The theme of the conference is to demonstrate how an individual’s enthusiasm and dedication can make a positive impact on community issues.Following breakfast, internationally recognized leadership speaker Bob Tryanski will present the keynote. Tryanski is identified as an expert in developing leadership skills, as well as strategies to effectively address community issues.
